(But don't tell @oldgrumpy I told you. ) While Grumples was in Symphony Hall, all his 6.7% (some didn't quite make it last Friday) was taken, so now I have to assess tomorrow's trend. I think a marker in 6.8% will be worthwhile. I'll be ready to go up a couple of notches after 8pm, or revert to 6.7% which will surely be up for grabs from late afternoon onwards. Having gone down by 45% in RS over the last nine months, my stake is inching up again, as I reduce my 12%+ gambling strategy.

With the ongoing thirst for funds from Assetz, does anyone else feel a Ratesetter Christmas promo coming on?
To see 6.4% matched on a Monday morning is, well, weird.. Edit: I suppose with the way RS works, as a "market" ( ) a bonus shouldn't be necessary. However, my wife was offered an extra 1% about this time last year - i think the promo was tucked away in fine print underneath their monthly lender statement email - they love tucking important things away there, don't they?

When I got to the front of the queue on Sunday evening, but not quite across the line, I thought I'd be waiting a few more days, but unusually there was still little in front of me first thing, and it seems just enough demand.

I might have to dump the 12%ers and return to RS after a 6 year hiatus.

Currently 6.5% available with a possible advance into 6.6% later today

In line with what another poster commented on (@SueM I think) I am very surprised I have had no early repayments other than one of these loans at these high rates over the last couple of months. I am also surprised that the differential between Zopa (c.5.2% for a similar product) and Ratesetter especially as the latter has a Provision Fund.

Not much of a queue for 6 & 6.1 this morning, hits 400k at 6.3
08-10-2018, 08:57 AM
Have another cup of coffee @Whittle
It hits £100K at 6.8%, the £400k being reached at 10%. 6.3% is actually reached at £2.6K at this moment. This morning's repayment run will appear soon, maybe £600K+ to bolster the pot. I'm lodging mine at 6.7% which I think might be matched Tuesday or Wednesday if I'm at the front of that Q.

Crickey 6.6% on a Monday afternoon, all repayments credited (mine anyway) and less than £400k on the whole five year market.

Yes, when I posted earlier I thought my repayments hadn't come through, but they had; (mainly in "rolling" for me today, so the compulsory reinvestment clicked in (still retaining 5.6% though, so not too shabby). Looks like the rate could inch towards 7% during the week, then - unless RS "finds" one of those BHs who dump several hundred grand incomprehensively way below the prevailing rate.

If the provision fund fell to say 110%, what rate would you all need to continue lending on the 5 year? I remember the good old days of 2 x cover in the PF.

TGhe feect I believe wil be between 0.5-1.0% (but I am notoriously bad on predictions, so if I am right RS will still offer the best return even at current rates, including the early adopter bonus I receive on Zopa although I expect that to go soonish.(10-10-2018, 02:54 PM)dualinvestor Wrote: Almost not newsworthy any longer, up to 6.5% before 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon.6.7% now. Tomorrow may be interesting, and maybe Friday too.

I won't be able to monitor trends next week. but I'm leaving my reinvest setting at 6.8%. I'll just have to make do with that.

Having now carried out huge amounts of DD and conducted extensive research and analysis of the results - the graphs all correlate and are giving me an inescapable conclusion that the best rates on Ratesetter are to be had when @oldgrumpy is having a night out in Brum

Looks like 6.3% may be breached this evening for the first time in what seems like ages.
