This thread can be taken several ways, it could be exploring the boundaries of what will be permissable, it could be "Admin Baiting" or (unlikely) a matter of genuine interest.
No action is going to be taken this time but I fail to see what this has to do with P2P, some members may think it is Political Correctness but I see it more of an irrelevence.

Doesn't bother me, but then I am not of the race in question. That's the problem with saying 'feel free to discuss anything' .. someone is bound to want to discuss race, sex, politics, or see which swear words will upset the most forum members. I suspect lets-have-another-brexit-vote will be along shortly.

On reflection, does the forum actually need to copy the other one with "general discussion" away from the subject of investing in general and P2P in particular? The whole section could be withdrawn now, at an early stage, before all sorts of contentious issues appear, wasting Admin's time when the "offense prone" brigade start being "offended".
Worth a thought?

On the other hand it does seem to have the most threads and posts on this board so far but definitely agree long term that isn't an ideal state.
A place to talk about off topic stuff can make it more lively and also its a good place to ask question of other members about non p2p stuff. I did that one or twice in the other forum and got some really high quality answers from my learned and noble peers....

...and a place to not have to worry (so much) about what words are allowed or not.
I don't know about 'wogs', but 'niggas' have no problem addressing themselves thus, and each have their own words for 'whiteys'. I have no time for modern 'word correctness'. We iz all equal, but we iz not all the same. The problem is when we think ourselves superior. Thus 'caveman' should be a banned word. They were smart and rarely lived in caves anyway.
