Came home from a Christmas dinner to find Landbay have closed their P2P business and returned all my investment. All right that is a vast improvement on their going in to administration as others have but this is a damned nuisance, they were a nice solid base paying an above inflation return. There is nothing currently on the market that is as safe and solidly founded in its loan structures that I feel comfortable putting as large a proportion of my allocation to P2P in to. I can put it in to the cash ISA but at current interest rates I am just slowly losing money. All the alternatives entail a lot more risk for not a lot more overall return, at least as far as I can see. Any one got any better ideas?
