The following Privacy Policy applies to the forum known as “Frank”. The same forum is also sometimes referred to as P2P-Frank, Frank P2P, Frank P2P Forum, Frank P2P Discussion and is accessible viawww.p2pfrank.com or www.p2pfrank.co.uk 1. Who controls your personal information (data controller)? Any personal information provided to or gathered by P2P-Frank via the forum is controlled by the P2P-Frank “Admin” who can be contacted by PM or the details at the top or bottom of this page. “Admin” is a specific member on the forum; he is an individual that voluntarily operates the forum for recreational reasons. He has full and sole responsibility for the data on the forum 2. What information does Frank-P2P collect from you? The amount and type of information we gather depends upon your use of the Website and, in some cases, what type of information you choose to disclose. We may collect the following information from you: 2.1 Information Provided by you to Frank-P2P When you sign up as a member to P2P-Frank you will be asked to provide certain personal information about yourself. Additional information you make public may include information you provide in your posts, which will be visible and modifiable (via quoting – see 5.1.) by other P2P-Frank members 2.3 Information About Your Device and Internet Connection When you use the Website, we automatically gather information made available by your web browser (such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome), Internet service provider (such as BT or Sky), and device (such as your computer, mobile phone, or tablet), depending on your settings for each. For example, we may collect your IP address, information about the operating system or type of device you use, and the location of your device. 2.4 Information Provided by Third-Parties P2P-Frank does not currently use any third-party partners on the forum for advertising or analytics. However, we reserve the right to utilise Google Analytics in the future to gather information regarding site traffic and user behaviour, which may include storing “Cookies” on your machine, use web beacons, gather IP addresses and log data to collect traffic and activity data. Beside the information above for analytics purposes, P2P-Frank will not share any data you provide with any 3rd party unless you provide specific instruction to do so on a case to case basis 3. To Improve and Secure the Website P2P-Frank uses the information we collect from you and other users to provide, improve and secure the Website and related services. For example, we look at IP addresses to determine if they are on the “ban list” for a given forum, so that we can prevent access to the forum. As explained above in Section 2, we use Cookies, including those placed by third-party vendors, to gather information that helps us understand how you and other users engage with the Website and improve its performance, as well as for security. 4.2. To Customise Your Website Experience P2P-Frank uses Cookies to store temporary information (not tracking), which does not need prior notification. For example, we use information gathered from you to update and display your “last login time,” and this information may also be used to calculate the displayed number of “users online” for a given forum and identify your account as being online for other users to view. P2P-Frank uses information gathered from you to customise your experience on the Website according to your interests and preferences. For example, we may use a Cookie to identify if a Board Group should be displayed as “expanded” or “collapsed.” 4.3. To Communicate with You When you register with P2P-Frank, you consent to receive periodic email communications in line with your preferred setting for alerts, notifications and subscriptions. P2P-Frank will also use the email address you provide to send communications to you. You can unsubscribe from alerts and notifications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link that is conveniently located at the bottom of each email, but we will still send you any necessary, non-promotional emails about your account or updates to our policies and terms. We also use your contact information to respond to you when you contact us. 5. Who do we share your information with? P2P-Frank Forum facilitates participation in online talk with other users. We make this possible by sharing your information in the following ways: 5.1. Information You Choose to Share Through P2P-Frank The Website contains features that allow you to upload, post, transmit, display, perform or distribute content, including personal information about yourself. Once you have chosen to divulge information about yourself to another user or multiple users through the forum — including in a “members-only” section, direct message or otherwise—such information can be copied, transmitted or displayed by the recipient(s) and is no longer within P2P-Frank ability to control. When you share information on P2P-Frank, you are contributing to an online conversation or thread that can be quoted and altered by other users. When you post, the post will belong to you, and it is your sole responsibility to exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information by means of such features. You should understand that at the point of you posting, you are agreeing that other members can quote and alter your text (when quoted) in any way they choose to do so. These quoted posts will be considered an interpretation of your post, and that post will belong to the member that posts it. P2P-Frank has no duty to remove or alter any posts that have quoted your text (unless the post author requests to have it altered or deleted), but if you feel that a post has been unfairly misinterpreted, you can report the post, and it may be deleted or altered at the discretion of the moderator. 5.2. Information Shared with Forum Users When you join, access, or post on the P2P-Frank, information may be shared with other P2P-Frank members via your profile
All the above information may be visible at any time by members with administrative or moderating control (current and future) Additional information shared not included above may include information you provide in your posts, which will be visible and modifiable (via quoting – see 5.1.) by other P2P-Frank members 5.3. Information Shared with Third-Party Partners As explained previously in this Privacy Policy, P2P-Frank reserves the right to utilise Google Analytics to improve and secure the Website 5.4. Information Shared to Comply with the Law and Legal Process 5.4.1. P2P Activities P2P-Frank maintains a public forum, and moderates accordantly to remove any posts that may be considered unlawful. It is P2P-Frank policy not to entertain any request for details unless there is legal requirement to do so, opting to work with all parties to try and resolve any issues. If we feel it is required, and at our own discretion, we may remove posts, threads and members should we feel the forum or any of its members are under threat of legal action 5.4.2. Other Activities At the discretion of Admin, and solely Admin, if there is a serious concern about the health or well-being of any individual, we may pass contact details to the relevant authorities 6. 7. How can you manage the information we’ve collected from you? 7.1. Live Account You can manage the content and information you share by logging into your account. The forum is available on most devices with web access, and as a web-based platform that required web access for you to sign up to the service, it is reasonable to presume that all members can access their information. You can view, alter and delete information associated with your P2P-Frank account by visiting your “User Control Panel” page, relevant setting pages and individual thread pages. 7.2. Suspended, Banned or Deleted Account If your account is suspended, it will only have access to a limited “right to reply” section along with access to your account settings pages. If your account is Suspended, Banned or Deleted Account you will not have access to some or all of your posts; if you would like to access any of your posts, or all of your posts, it will have to be done by request via Admin. After a request for posts and/ or attachments is provided, a data file will all requested data will be sent to the e-mail on account within 7days. 7.3. Deleting Posts You can manually delete your individual posts at any time or, on request, have all your posts and/ or attachments removed (purged) from the forum at any time by contacting Admin. After a request for a purge has been submitted, all posts and/ or attachments provided by you will be removed within 7days. You can delete your account at any time but will not affect your posts/ attachments; it is your responsibility to provide a request to have your data removed, and for security reasons, the request will have to come via the email that you use for your account 8. How do we protect the privacy of children? P2P-Frank does not solicit or knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If P2P-Frank obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will immediately delete such information from our database. Because P2P-Frank does not collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16, we have no such information to use or disclose to third-parties. P2P-Frank has designed this Privacy Policy in order to comply with GDPR. 9. Do we respond to Do Not Track (DNT) Signals? DNT is a feature offered by some browsers which, when enabled, sends a signal to websites to request that your browsing is not tracked. P2P-Frank does not currently respond to DNT requests. 10. What about third-party websites? This Privacy Policy only applies to the Website, and not any third-party websites that you may visit as a result of clicking on a link within the Website. Third-party websites are under no obligation to comply with this Privacy Policy. Before visiting or providing personal information to a third-party website, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of that third-party website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect your privacy. 11. How do we notify you of changes to the Privacy Policy? Each time you use the Website, the then-current version of this Privacy Policy will apply. Although most changes are likely to be minor, P2P-Frank reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy by posting such modification on this page; however, if changes are significant, P2P-Frank may provide a more prominent notice or email you. Unless P2P-Frank obtains your express consent, any revised Privacy Policy will apply only to information collected after the effective date of such revised Privacy Policy, and not to information collected under an earlier version. 12.
