RYI times increased for what reason??

It appears that RS have now jumped on the COVID 19 bandwagon and have used this as a reason not to release money invested in the platform!

I noticed a post on the other side which stated that RYI would now take around 1 week to complete rather than the nigh on instant access that I have had in the past.

I do not understand how this can be the case as I am trying to release my investments in the 5 year market, all in excess of 6%m with available investor funds of over £6m waiting to be matched.

If I was a suspicious person, I would think there was something going on over at RS mansion!

I have exactly the same concerns. I've received an email in relation to a RYI request I made just before the notice was put up on the website and it states: "Our guidance is that this likely to be more than a week as opposed to our usual 1 day".
I would speculate that if they pushed all RYI requests onto the market they fear they will mop up any liquidity and this would increase rates offered to new borrowers. That would presumably counter all the efforts they have made to manipulate rates downwards.

Early March .. asked for .. “i want me money back please“ ...as the black box changes were driving me insane 
finally got my meagre sums back - very happy, so got to say well done to RS  ... apart from 4.98.... 
i have no idea why they kept 4.98 locked in.. and now you cannot sell under 10.... so im locked in for the next 4 yrs with 4.98
