Bitcoin really making some moves! Nice to see finally. 

I hold a decent chunk of crypto and I'm very bullish on 2-3 projects in this asset class over the next 5 years. A hell of a lot of scams and junk out there however!

Cheers for thinking of me, indeed I held what I bought and although Bitcoin is now higher than then it's not all good news for me.

I invested into portfolios of various Crypto through ICONOMI but these haven't performed on par with Bitcoin and I'm actually down almost 50% 

Should have kept it simple and just bought Bitcoin, but hindsight is always 20:20

I bought into ICONOMI also. Not much but just enough to speculate.

I don't hold any Bitcoin as such, but I have a fair bit of other offshoots that, like @Monetus, I am hoping perform in the future.  I don't hold enough to make me poor, but I do hold enough to make me rich in the right circumstances!

My main investment is a project called VeChain which is partly-owned by PWC and DNV GL. It's focused heavily on the supply chain space and real-world use cases via enterprise adoption. I like it because they have a real product that's actually live and being used as we speak. 
 
It has Jim Breyer (legendary SF venture capitalist/one of the first investors in Facebook) on their advisory board and also partnerships with Deloitte, BMW, Renault, Walmart, H+M, DB Schenker, LVMH group and quite a few more....

Definitely one for the long game though as it's still very early days for crypto in general but a huge number of major companies are researching/investing heavily into the blockchain space so I think there is definitely significant value in the technology. 

I believe mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency is at least 3-5 years away yet but I plan on keeping it for several years at least in the hope that it can one day make up for some of my P2P losses.

I was put off buying Bitcoin because I heard it's harder to liquidate in the UK than if (say) I was a US resident. Is there truth in that? Something about getting money out of the exchanges.

No it's pretty easy now. Coinbase one of the larger exchanges with good liquidity even has Faster Payments with Barclays.

Coinfloor is another good fiat gateway and they even are in close communications with those wonderful chaps at The FCA apparently.

Interesting now that BTC has broken the $10k mark and is remaining fairly stable (By crypto standards!).

Most of the other currencies are also making gains and holding.

Interesting to note that the Marshall Islands have adopted blockchain technology for their currency with many more companies adopting some form of blockhain tech in one form or another.
